"Architecture is the learned game, correct & magnificent, of forms assembled in the light."- Le Corbusier
ABOUT
Hey, my name is Ronishka Sabu Nalpathil and I am a senior majoring in Architecture at Virginia Tech! My passion for architecture stems from the possibility of creating spatial realms that can be felt and experienced by the human senses, as architecture is not merely the art of creating spaces but it is the art of creating an experience for the user. Being a resolute believer of the fact that architecture has the power to create an equalized world where everyone is granted access to affordable housing, I reminisce
researching about the work of a British architect named Laurie Baker at the end of sophomore year in high school. Baker’s work emphasized on the need to create sustainable and affordable housing options for all through the use of minimal products/ materials. Baker’s innovative ideas about the way he thought about architecture stuck with me throughout high school as it served as a constant reminder that architecture was the way forward- that architecture could change the world for the better, in a way that no other profession ever could. My happiness knew no bounds when I was offered a place in the Virginia Tech Class of 2023 for architecture and I knew that this was my first investment towards creating an equalized world for the generations to come. Since then, Virginia Tech has provided countless opportunities at my disposal to exploit my skills as an architect and a designer.
