Located in the Pulaski County, the Claytor Lake Sailing School is a state-of-the-art training and research centre which aims to provide a facility for a hands-on learning experience for both adults and children alike. Designed to function as a versatile piece of architecture, the Claytor Lake Sailing School accommodates three zones- public, semi- public and private zones. The zones create areas that operate as functional spaces like storage spaces for the boats, classrooms and conference rooms, while also accommodating necessary ancillary functional spaces like laundry and kitchen facilities. The structure also houses spaces which function as offices for the employees and can be accessed only by authorized personnel. The three zones unify as one common entity with the help of the ring that goes through each of the zones and provides breathtaking views of the lake and the beach, while also providing views of the outdoor unconditioned training area.
