A multi- use project based in downtown Roanoke, the Roanoke Art Community aims to create a space for people to congregate and unwind. The project is strategically located at the intersection of Williamson Road and Salem Avenue, right opposite to the Taubman Museum of Art, which makes it an ideal location for designers and artists to thrive in an art- intensive environment.

The design process for the site based in downtown Roanoke sought to develop an open public space for the residents of the Roanoke Art Community to unwind and seek inspiration for their work from the surrounding environment. The main concept stems from the need to try and cultivate the existence of both nature and the built- environment in the same space.
